Hideo Kojima, the mastermind behind the Metal Gear franchise and founder of Kojima Productions, has announced not one, not two, but THREE additions to the MGS HD Collection which was announced at E3 this year.
Along with HD remastered versions of MGS2, MGS3 and MGS: Peace Walker, players will now be able to play the Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2 games released on the MSX. But that’s not all, the final game to be added to the collection is none other than the game which made the series what it is today, the 1998 Playstation classic Metal Gear Solid will complete the collection.
Along with this wonderful news, Kojima has also confirmed what we have all been hoping to hear. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will be the Subsistence edition, featuring the much improved camera system, we have yet to receive confirmation that Metal Gear Online will be included with this but as soon as we know, you’ll know too!
The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be available on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 2011
