Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 Confirmed

If you liked Sonic 4 well get ready to change your pants because Sonic 4 Brand Manager Ken Balough has officially announced development for Sonic 4: Episode 2.
Balough had a couple interesting posts on the Sega forums
“SoA and SoE are both giving feedback and input on Episode II. Episode I did very well for SEGA commercially, and thanks to everyone’s support, we definetly have a lot of traction going into Epsiode II. This usually means better budgets, etc.
That said – I see a lot of really great ideas going into the next installment.”
Bigger budgets? Maybe they can afford to fix the music with the same stupid snare drum in every single level.

Or maybe they can just hire the guys at Sonic Fan Remix (http://sonicfanremix.com/ ) so they can make the game for them.
“I know how many there will be – but I can;t comment on that just yet We had determined the amount during the development of Episode I.”
I just find it hilarious out of his little posts he’s made 3 typos, “definetly” “Epsiode” and “can;t” – I wonder if this is an indicator as to why the physics were all kinds of wonky in “Epsiode” 1.
“I certainly cannot deny there were some elements that could have been done better – and I could say that about most games I’ve worked on. That’s why Episode II gives us that opportunity to address them (or as much as possible)”
Gotta love that marketing machine. Some shit’s bjorked. But, most of the shit I make is bjorked. But now I can go back and un-bjork them! Hooray!
I played Episode 1. I beat it. I got all the stupid emeralds. I got Super Sonic. I did all that. And, really, I felt the game was just kind of rushed – it just seems to me Sonic fans were so happy to not get a horribly broken game they were ready to awards praise and accolades to anything with sonic goes right. Sonic runs. Hooray.
But this isn’t a review of Sonic 4. Goodness no.
After Sonic Heroes I’ve been cautiously optimistic about upcoming sonic games – and I will take the same approach here. It’s interesting to see them admit there were problems and hopefully they address them. Maybe we’ll even get a chance to play as classic sonic. Only time will tell.
I’m Psyguy and this is hard news. I mean lo-ping.org.
If I wasn't so poor I would have bought Sonic 4 Ep. 1 on launch. Now…I think I just might.
Also, welcome to the site, been a huge fan for years.
Thanks! Happy to be here 🙂
